Amaaya Shiuli is an alcohol-free floral roll-on inspired by shiuli (parijat), the night-flowering jasmine that carpets Bengal's ground in white and orange on autumn mornings. Soft, green and nostalgic, it smells like Pujo arriving.
Scent profile
A delicate green floral. Sweet and jasmine-like but softer and less heady, with a faint tea-leaf or hay greenness that keeps it gentle rather than sweet.
The story
Shiuli flowers bloom at night and fall at dawn. In English the tree is called arbor-tristis, the "sad tree", because it lets its flowers go. In Bengal it means the opposite: when shiuli covers the ground, Durga Puja is on its way.
